The season is here!! Normally we go tag our tree, spending hours trudging through the tree farm looking for just the right Christmas tree shaped tree - you know the perfect triangle, no spaces, right color tree. This year however Keeva's school was selling trees as a fund raiser so of course we bought one, pre-packaged bound up tree. Turns out the tree is half as wide as our living room and almost the same width from top to bottom. Keeva thought it was great she called it the monster tree, the biggest tree in the whole world- she was very upset when one of the little girls in her class claimed to have the biggest tree in the world because of course we do......and I believe she rightly told her so.
The first snow fell as we began to put up the tree of course Keeva was so excited. The snow really made it feel like Christmas. She ran outside and tried to catch some of the flakes. Unfortunately it didn't stick around too long just long enough for a little girl to feel like Santa was coming soon. She was so excited she wanted to go make snowballs and throw them at Daddy. So we made it a real Christmassy night ~ Polar Express and hot chocolate with snowman sandwiches cuddled in front of a blazing fire.......mmmh just something I love about cold snowy winters !
